When: Tuesday June 25th, July 2nd & July 9th
Time: 5:00pm to 6:30pm
Are you a teen or do you know teens who might profit from learning to soothe and relax themselves, who might worry a bit too much about grades, test-taking, peer relationships, parental expectations, or college acceptance? Or perhaps are you a teen or do you know a teen who is experiencing insomnia or eating problems or is going through difficult family transitions?
Please join a free summer program especially for teens here at the Library. During these three one hour sessions (June 25, July 2 &9) students will work with Marcie Swift, M.Ed. CMP Certified School Psychologist and Certified Music Practitioner of the Harp, in Private Practice in Simsbury, CT. Marcie has 35 years experience working positively and productively with children, adolescents and their families and schools. With her beautiful Celtic harp, Marcie will soothe and entrance students while teaching relaxation techniques, using guided imagery and story-telling. Each student will learn to let go of stress and worry, while focusing upon their unique strengths and gifts.
A light dinner will be provided from 6:00 to 6:30. If you cannot make all 3 sessions, sign up for the sessions you can make.
